I love sunset/sunrises, I am mesmerized by each one I see. So you can see why it is a challege for me to try and paint them. The inspiration for this painting came from a trip I took last week. We have had sooo much rain that there is a lot of standing water in the fields. It may be very frustrating for farmers but I was amazed by the darken atmosphere and bright spots of color as the puddles reflected the beautiful colors of the sunset.
Today's painting is titled "The New Calf". I really like how this painting turned out. It is a bit on the tonalist side due to the colors I used and gives strong visual impact using a simple minimalist composition. I put an angus cow and calf in the painting for focal point and scale.
I call this original painting "The Simple Life". I love the rich color and minimalist composition. It is 5"x7" and is an acrylic on masonite. It is listed on ebay starting at $65.00. If you would like to see larger pics or bid then please click here.
Happy May Day everyone! This is the first year we haven't had any May baskets left for the kids, guess they are getting too old :(
Today's posting is not for a daily painting. I thought I would post one of my larger paintings that I have listed on ebay. This is a fun, colorful, "yard long" lemon painting. It is a 12x36 acrylic on CANVAS with the sides painted. I have this listed on ebay with a reserve of $195.00.
Today's painting is for an original acrylic 5x7 featuring a serene lake scene. This must be one of those days when the wind is calm and the lake is as smooth as glass. I would love a place like this to escape to when life gets hectic!
SOLD! Today's listing is for a painting I call "Good Neighbors". When you live in the country you still have neighbors even though they may live a quarter or a mile away.

Today's painting is for a LARGE original acrylic on masonite. It's size is 18x24 and comes unframed.
