Today's painting features a summer storm. I let the clouds go high which is usually an indication of hail. I put a small white barn on the horizon line to emphasize the majesty of the clouds. I also experimented with non-typical colors for a landscape.

Today's painting is for an original acrylic on masonite. I call this painting "Silver Lining". It did look bleak last week after all of the rain we had in Iowa. There were "lakes" in the fields and farmers were getting nervous. But what a difference this week has made. It has been gorgeous out, a lot of lakes are gone and farmers are getting back into the fields...much to the relief of everyone!
