May 20 Why I haven't been posting
Hi Everyone
Just thought I would write a note to tell you why I have been absent from posting. 2 of my daughters had some serious stuff happen to them this last week. My 16 year old was in a car accident and totalled her car, thank God she walked away without a scratch. There must have been many angels watching out for her. My 19 year old had a tonsilectomy the 11th and ended up having an emergency surgery this weekend due to complications. She is doing fine now thank God again. I have been doing a lot of praying lately! So my post today is to hug your loved ones and tell them how much they mean to you!
Hopefully I will get back to posting paintings after the Memorial Day weekend.

SOLD! Happy Mothers Day!Todays painting is for a beautiful 8x8 original acrylic on cradled wood panel. I love this particular barn and had a few pictures of it. Since it was so original and unique I thought I would do a series of paintings using it as the subject matter. I set off to take more pics of the barn hoping to capture different angles, and lighting. Boy my heart was crushed when I drove up to it and found it as a big pile of lumber. I guess a strong wind went through and blew it down, how sad! Iowa loses over 100 barns a year...it is always disheartening to see one go.

April 2 NIGHTTIME ORIGINAL PAINTING COW TIPPIN TIME
SOLD! Today's painting is called "Cow Tippin' Time". Legend has it that you can walk up to a cow at night when they are sleeping and give them a good shove which will make them tip over. I was going to try it one night but turned chicken. Anyone have cow tipping stories? I haven't heard of anyone actually doing it.

Mar 31 "Out of the Box" Girl with Doll Original Painting
I am a member of the wonderful website www.dailypainters.com. Our challenge was to painting something "out of the box" or a subject matter that we don't typically paint. Well, I don't know why but people intimidate the heck out of me and I rarely paint them. So I am posting this folk art type painting I did of a little girl and her doll. It has been sitting on my studio wall for at least a year, I wasn't sure what to do with it.
