Sept 23 Painting a Day Red Roof Barn Landscape

Today's painting is for a bright landscape featuring a white barn with a red roof. Most barns do not have red roofs but once in a while you will see a non-typical color of blue, green or red.

I always thought it took a farmer with guts to shingle his buildings with a bright color. I always wondered what that person was like and if he/she got a lot of ribbing at the coffee shop.

This painting is for an original acrylic on masonite and will be listed on ebay Sunday (Sept 23 ) in the evening. It comes framed and is approximately 13x13.

Sept 17 Large 10x30 Farm Clouds Landscape No Reserve!

Hi Everyone
I am back from a very busy weekend. I did my first outdoor show and was very lucky that it was a beautiful day with no wind or rain only sunshine. I had a lot of fun meeting people face to face and seeing personal reactions to my art. Thank you for everyone who stopped by and made my day successful. Got to be honest...I was so nervous! I am usually a very strong person but have to admit that my stomach was doing flip flops last week. At one point I didn't know if I was getting sick or if it was just nerves. Soooo with one outdoor show under my belt I think I can do another one...next year.

I can now get back to listing and painting and being focused again.

Today's painting is for a large 10x30 original acrylic painting of a farm scene with big puffy clouds and a creek. I have this listed on ebay starting at only 9.95. I am getting brave starting auctions at this low price since they are getting bids. In an ideal world I would start everything at 9.95 with no reserve and hope to someday.

Sept 7 Daily Painting Minimalist Bright Ocean Scene with Lighthouse

I was going to make this a farm painting but when I got done I thought it needed a lighthouse instead. I call this original painting "Night Off for the Lighthouse" I don't know if that ever happens but this night the moon is big and bright and probably no need for lighthouse assistance.

Not a Painting a Day, Red Apples in Yelloware Bowl

I thought I would post a pic of a painting I have listed on ebay. This is an original oil painting (yes oil!) on canvas, 12x12. Last year I did some oil paintings and this is one of them.

For the reference photo I went to the store and got fresh red apples, put them in one of my old yellow ware mixing bowls and set it on one of my vintage apple tablecloths.
