Mar 25 Red Apples N Yellowware Bowl

SOLD! This is one of my favorite paintings. Unfortunately it is sitting on the floor of my studio. I would really like it to find a nice home! It is an original acrylic on canvas 12x12, .75" in depth. I took the original pic of some red apples in one of my yelloware mixing bowls sitting on one of my vintage apple tablecloths.

Toni, This is too luscious to be true. What a successful painting.

Hi Toni, the way you've painted the apples in this painting is absolutely amazing!! They look so shinny and crisp, I'd love to be able to reach through my monitor, grab one and take a bite! :D

Beautifully painted!!!

Wow, you really did an amazing job with those apples. I find red apples to be so challenging - I think it's because I'm more used to working with blues and greens. Beautiful work!

Thank you everyone for your nice comments! Red is challenging but I will give you one hint, use GOLDEN brand cadiumn reds (dark red, medium red and orange red, I think that is the name) they are expensive but a little goes a long ways and they result in lucious reds!
Thanks again!
