July 18 Minimalist "Quiet Fields" Original Acrylic Painting FRAMED
SOLD Hi EveryoneIt is a busy time of year for me. I will be having fun at the cabin this weekend celebrating the annual Lake View Carnival. Then I bravely drive to Omaha on Monday with 4 excited teenagers (girls of course) to see the Jonas Brothers in concert. My youngest daughter and I will be checking out the Old Market in Omaha while they sit?? in their 3rd row seats! We will be staying overnight and coming back on Tuesday. Wed-Sat next week I will be hanging out with my family. My brother and sis in law with their 2 kids will be home from Coeur de lene ID.

July 8 Red Barn Farm Landscape with Lone Palomino Horse
SOLD Today's painting is for an original acrylic on a piece of my antique tin (see link to read the story about this ceiling tin). I added a lone palomino horse for interest and scale. I usually add cows or sheep but thought I would add a horse. I don't know why I didn't do this sooner since horses were my first love and favorite subject matter when I was young!

Traditionally Breda has hosted the 4th of July, to whoever wants to show up to eat good food, watch their kids play games, and witness a spectacular firewords display. (the beer garden is a lot of fun too). This event is put on by the American Legion and Auxillary, a group of patriotic men and women who have worked very hard on the 4th of July for many years. July 2 WHITE CORN CRIB AT NIGHT LANDSCAPE
SOLD I see so many old corn cribs standing alone around the midwest landscape. I am sure at one time they were allaccompanied by a farm house and other outbuildings marking homesteads which were full of activity and families.
In Iowa alone we lose over 100 barns a year and that doesn't count the corn cribs, hog buildings, chicken coops and farm houses from these vintage farmsteads! It is sad to see them go, once they are gone, they are gone forever.
